- Received the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in 2005; this award honors employers nationally and locally for the exemplary use of workplace flexibility to meet both business goals and employee needs.
- Ranked eighth among the Best Companies to Work for in Texas, large company category, in 2009. Medical City was the top-ranked hospital in Texas and the only ranked hospital in North Texas. Winners were profiled in Texas Monthly. Medical City was previously listed 15th in 2006.
- Named as one of the “Top Ten Best Places to Work” by the Dallas Business Journal in 2004; ranked #1 among the 10 finalists.
- Medical City was awarded Magnet recognition in December 2003 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for excellence in nursing care. Of nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide, Medical City was the 94th in the nation, the ninth in the state and the first in North Texas to earn this recognition. Re-designation was achieved in April 2008, which makes Medical City the first in North Texas to earn Magnet recognition twice.
