MEDICAL CITY HOSPITAL EXECUTIVE EARNS TOP HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT CREDENTIAL
Mary R. Wylie Earns Fellow Status in the American College of Healthcare Executives

Wylie_sm.jpgMary R. Wylie, assistant vice president of medical surgical and oncology at Medical City, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), the nation's leading professional society for healthcare leaders.

As a Fellow, heathcare management professionals have achieved the highest starndard of professional development through comprehensive examination, experience, continued education and leadership.  Additionally, the credential qualifies Ms. Wylie to indicate she is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of ACHE.

"Mary is a true leader and professional and we are privileged to have her on our team," said Britt Berrett, president and chief executive officer at Medical City.  "The credentials she has earned represents her continued achievement in meeting high standards of professional development and leadership, and is a testament to the level of dedication and service she brings to the patients and staff of Medical City."

Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development.  In fact, only 7,500 healthcare executives hold this distinction.  To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement.  Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.

"Because healthcare management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it is critically important to have a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization," says Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, CAE, president and chief executive officer of ACHE.  "By becoming an ACHE Fellow and simultaneously earning board certification from ACHE, healthcare leaders can show that they are committed to providing high-quality service to their patients and community.
