Medical City Children’s Hospital offers services and support that range far beyond typical treatments. Our extensive Child Life Services provide comfort and information to children and their families. We help them feel comfortable and informed.

Additionally, our first-rate, complimentary room service program, City Gourmet, is sure to please even the pickiest eater. This program allows children to select their own meals from an extensive menu of kid-friendly foods such as macaroni and cheese, personal pan pizza, steak fingers and fresh veggies. Plus, kids choose when to have their meals delivered. This helps ensure that your child eats when he or she is hungry and not on a predetermined meal-service schedule.

Our care goes well beyond our hospital walls. We are proud to be involved with Camp Discovery, an American Cancer Society–affiliated program designed to foster the spirits and abilities of children, aged 7 to 16, who have been diagnosed with cancer. Each year, Medical City Children’s Hospital sends a physician, a Child Life Specialist, nurses and children to Kerrville, Texas, for one week. They join kids from four other cancer centers to make new friends and enjoy learning experiences.

Our multidisciplinary approach means a dedicated team of specialists is ready to help coordinate everything from pretreatment financial arrangements to family education to psychosocial support. We also offer dietitians, physical therapists, an array of support groups and a chaplain to help ensure that our patients and their families are as comfortable as possible. Our staff also features an advanced practice nurse certified in pediatric oncology to follow the cancer treatment process right from the time of diagnosis. A dedicated social worker and case manager also assist in your discharge needs. Together, our team provides the very best in cancer care.
