 Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation plays a key role in speeding a child’s recovery following an illness or injury. Our Center for Rehabilitation provides rehabilitative services to help get our patients up and active as soon as possible. The center offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for children. A specialized team of physicians, therapists and related health professionals provides personalized care using the latest rehabilitative techniques and technologies.

The fact that our center is located on the Medical City campus is another advantage for our patients. Rehabilitation patients have access to a variety of onsite specialists in the event a crisis occurs. It’s also easier to do swallow studies on dysphagia patients because radiologists and speech and occupational therapists work down the hall from each other, not down the street.

In addition to expert physicians and state-of-the-art equipment, the Center for Rehabilitation offers a multidisciplinary team that helps patients in their effort to get better. The center features inpatient therapy, a spacious outpatient therapy facility and a wound care center.

Our Center for Rehabilitation provides a wide array of services with the goal of improving the child’s quality of life through enhancing personal independence. Working in concert, the family and the rehabilitation team design an individual treatment plan that encompasses all of the child’s needs.

Healing, after all, is what medicine is all about, and the same is true for our Center for Rehabilitation.
